I Surrendered

I Surrendered

I reached a point… where I broke. Not on the outside… but inside. Quietly. Slowly. Completely.

I didn’t know where to go. I couldn’t see a way out. I was there… but not really there.

And for the first time… I admitted something that scared me:

I don’t know.

And when you reach that point… there’s only one thing left. To surrender. Not because you want to… but because you can’t keep fighting anymore.

And that’s where it begins.

Because when you surrender… you start searching. For answers. For meaning. For something… that explains what is happening to you.

And you look everywhere. Books. Videos. People who “know.” Therapy. Psychology. Spiritual teachings. Different words… but pointing to something deeper. Something beyond all of it. What some call the Universe… others call God.

And for the first time… it didn’t just make sense. I felt it. Like a quiet recognition. Like something inside me had always known. I had just forgotten.

And that’s when I started seeing things differently… even the words I had heard my whole life.

In the Bible it says:

“God created man in His own image.”
— Genesis 1:27

Most people understand this literally. That we look like Him… physically. But think about it. What does God look like? No one can truly answer that.

So what if it was never about appearance… but about something deeper? What if “in His image” was never the body… but the nature? Consciousness. Awareness. The ability to create. To feel. To choose.

Logically… if you are created in that image… then you already carry something within you that you keep searching for outside. So maybe the problem isn’t that you’re missing something… Maybe you’ve just misunderstood what you are.

“The Kingdom of God is within you.”
— Luke 17:21

If this is true… everything changes. If the Kingdom is within you… why have you spent your whole life searching outside? Why were you taught to chase what was already placed within you?

Logically… if something is within you… you don’t need to earn it. You don’t need to reach it. You don’t need permission. You need awareness. So maybe this isn’t telling you to go somewhere… Maybe it’s telling you to return to yourself.

“Seek and you will find.”
— Matthew 7:7

But what are you seeking… and where are you seeking it? Most people search in success. In relationships. In validation. In other people’s answers. But logically… if your pain is internal… no external result can solve it. If the emptiness is within… the answer cannot be outside. So maybe this was never about endless searching… Maybe it was about searching in the right place.

“What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet lose their soul?”
— Matthew 16:26

You don’t need to be rich to lose your soul. You can gain approval. Stability. A life that looks perfect from the outside. And still feel nothing inside. Logically… if everything looks right… but feels wrong… then something essential is missing. So maybe the real question is: what are you building your life on… if it costs you yourself?

“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
— Matthew 22:39

Most people focus on loving others. But ignore the second part: as yourself. Because logically… you can only give what you have. If you feel empty… you give emptiness. If you reject yourself… that rejection spreads. So maybe this isn’t just about loving others… Maybe it’s asking you: do you even know how to love yourself?

And when I started reading it this way… not as rules… but as logic… everything began to change.

And then I went deeper. Into the Gospel of Thomas.

“The Kingdom is inside of you…”
— Saying 3

How many times do you need to hear it before you start accepting it? If it keeps repeating… it’s not random.

“If you bring forth what is within you, it will save you…”
— Saying 70

What are you suppressing? Everything you don’t express… stays inside. And over time… it starts to weigh you down. Confuse you. Exhaust you.

“When you make the inner like the outer…”
— Saying 22

Are you living your truth… or playing a role? Because if you are one thing inside… and another outside… tension is inevitable.

And suddenly… everything I had been doing… reversed.

All my life, I searched outside. For the right decisions. The right path. The right life. I lived the way I was “supposed to.” But I was losing myself — slowly, silently, unnoticed.

And then I asked myself… what if everything was backwards? What if it was never about finding a path… but about stopping the escape from myself?

And for the first time… I didn’t look for answers outside. I stayed. With myself. No noise. No explanations. No distractions.

And there… there was no emptiness. There was something else. Quiet. Steady. Real. Something that doesn’t need to be proven.

And maybe… what I thought was a breakdown… was never the end. But the moment everything false started to fall away. So what was always there… could finally be seen.

Maybe I was never lost… I was just taught to look in the wrong place.
